Halat Adas: daily meals for displaced families in Atbara

Update: this appeal has now closed. Thank you to everyone who supported it – see our current appeals for where help is needed now.

Amid Sudan’s humanitarian crisis, the Halat Adas (“A Lentil’s Pot”) initiative – delivered with the Abdulrahim Elyas Charitable Association for Development (ACAD) – provided daily meals and food parcels to more than 3,500 displaced families in Atbara, in River Nile State.

As families displaced from the Gezira region arrived in River Nile State, the initiative expanded to provide essential food supplies, warm clothing and blankets to newly displaced families – many of them children.
