1. Nisab threshold

Zakat is due if your wealth has been at or above the nisab for one lunar year. The nisab is the value of 612.36g of silver or 87.48g of gold. Most scholars advise using silver, as it benefits more people. Metal prices change daily, so please update the price with today’s rate.

This calculator is a guide based on the widely used method: (cash + gold + silver + business assets + investments + money owed to you − debts due now) × 2.5%, payable when your wealth is at or above the nisab and has been for one lunar year.
